List Of Banner Elk Craft Festival 2022. Drawing more than 20,000 attendees each year, the festival takes place during the traditional peak weekend for autumn leaf viewing in banner elk and the blue ridge mountains. The Annual Woolly Worm Festival Takes Place The Third Weekend In October In Downtown Banner Elk.
Avery county will host the second half of its 24th annual fine art and master crafts festival in front of the historic banner elk. The winning worm receives a $1,000 prize and winter weather predicting rights. Each winter banner elk becomes home base for snow sports with the south’s two largest ski resorts— beech mountain and sugar mountain—located within 10 minutes.
